Our Stepping Out Of the Box exhibition contained visual artwork and creative writing that invites us to question how gender stereotypes create barriers to wellbeing, inclusion and career aspirations and progression. Here you can find books, postcards, pocket mirrors and stickers that enable you to take the artwork and messages away with you.
Gender Stereotypes, Equality and Inclusion
Since 2017, we have been creating resources that explore how restrictive social norms of masculinity and femininity impact men, women and non-binary people in a range of damaging ways.
Masculinity
The catalogue for our original Men’s Voices exhibition includes Chris Robinson’s original poetry collection, award winning author Ross Raisin’s piece ‘Manufacturing Men’ and a CD of Rupert Philbrick’s moving soundscape. Men's Voices is an artistic exploration of masculinity considering how traditional messages contribute to health and social challenges faced by men and the other people in their lives.
Gender Norms
The catalogue for our Stepping Out of The Box exhibition includes key findings from our creative workshops as well as printing, collage, photo montage, poetry, textiles, ceramics and Lego-style resin casts created together with young people.
