Men’s Voices – exhibition catalogue & postcards

The catalogue for our Men’s Voices exhibition includes Polly Turner’s textile artwork, Chris Robinson’s poetry collection, award-winning author Ross Raisin’s piece ‘Manufacturing Men’ and a CD of Rupert Philbrick’s moving soundscape, weaving music around interviews that explore what it means to be a man.

Men’s Voices is an artistic exploration of masculinity considering how traditional messages contribute to health and social challenges faced by men and the other people in their lives. It was produced together with groups of men and boys across North East England and features community art alongside original pieces produced by our artists as a reflection of the views and feelings of the groups we engaged with.

A book purchase comes with a set of 8 postcards, which capture textile, plaster casts and monoprint artwork as well as poetry created for the exhibition.
