Director’s Blog – 16 days of Activism 2025 #1

The 16 days starts today.

Director’s Blog – Lisa Charlotte Davis

If you’re not in the world of activism against violence against women and girls, you might not have heard of the 16 days.

It’s a time each year to focus on the continued prevalence of gender-based violence and to consider how we work towards its elimination.

It spans the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (25 November) and Human Rights Day (10 December).

Globally, the theme for this year centres around ending digital violence against women and girls.

In the UK, White Ribbon (the leading charity engaging men and boys to prevent men’s violence against women and girls) has a focus on speaking up when we see harmful behaviour directed towards women and girls.

So over the next 16 days, I will be drawing from Changing Relations’ creative portfolio to weave together a range of messages and provocations based around these 2 themes.

Stay tuned and get in touch if you think any of the content I share could be of use in your school, community or workplace.
