Creative Learning
for the Workplace

We help employers explore gender stereotypes, relationships and wellbeing through creative learning and development. Rooted in lived experience and using arts-based methods, we encourage empathy, challenge stereotypes and help staff consider how they can support colleagues and build respectful workplace relationships.

Supporting people at work

We use films, soundscapes and other creative resources to open up conversations about sensitive issues that impact people in the workplace. Our facilitated sessions give staff space to hear different perspectives, reflect on their own assumptions, and consider how they respond to the people around them.

We work with employers who want to develop staff understanding and confidence around healthy relationships, behaviour, gender stereotypes, and wellbeing. Whatever your business, our creative approach can support you and your workforce.

Why choose Changing Relations?

Safer Conversations at Work

Help staff consider how to respond sensitively when someone shares a difficult experience. Support managers and teams to navigate difficult conversations and disclosures, like navigating boundaries and signposting colleagues to appropriate support.

Gender, Relationships & Respectful Workplace Culture

Use creative resources to explore gender stereotypes, sexual attitudes & behaviours, language and active bystanding, helping staff challenge harmful attitudes and support healthy workplace relationships.

Work
with us

Exploring your workplace needs

Talk to us about the issues you would like us to help you with. We can discuss who you want to involve, and how our work could support your needs.

A creative start

We draw on our creative resources to help people engage with sensitive topics, helping to open up space for challenging and sensitive conversations.

Making space for reflection

Facilitated discussion helps staff explore what they have heard and seen, consider different perspectives and reflect on their own assumptions. Together, we connect these conversations to the experiences and responsibilities of people in your workplace.

Taking learning into the workplace

We encourage staff to consider how they could put learning into practice, whether through communicating sensitively, checking on a colleague’s wellbeing or recognising when to signpost to support. Talk to us about the outcomes you want to work towards.

Building on the learning

Our work with employers has included bespoke webinars, in-person training, train-the-trainer sessions and resource development. We can discuss whether a focused session, an event linked to an awareness day or further learning would be most useful for your organisation.

We’d love to hear how we could support your staff. We want our services to be as accessible as possible and best suited to your organisation’s needs so rather than create a fixed price list, we offer tailored quotes following a conversation about your priorities, budget and the support you’re looking for.

“It was really useful to hear real life experiences and consider how as a line manager and an organisation we could identify and support members of staff who may be experiencing such issues at home.”

[Changing Relations brings] “two levels of expertise to the table. One is kind of subject expertise in relation to gender, gender relations and the other is the kind of arts expertise I think is really significant”

Prof. Simon Forrest, Principal

“Changing Relations training format is very different to what you might be used to – they use arts and media as a conduit for deep and meaningful reflections without invading anyone’s privacy.”
